TERRE HAUTE - Julia (Judy) Ann Monday, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022 in Terre Haute, Indiana, at the age of 75.

Julia was born September 1, 1946 in Terre Haute to Annabell (Kearns) Deal and John Joseph Deal.

She was a graduate of Garfield High School, class of 1964. She received the Miss Indiana Future Business Leader of America her senior year. She worked at Indiana State Bank and St. Anthony Hospital, and retired after 48-plus years at Hercules/AET/Taghleaf Industries.

On December 3, 1966, she married Charles R. Monday.

Julia loved dancing with her husband and received awards for their dancing. She loved drag racing, where she participated along with her husband and street rodding where they met many good and close friends. She is a member of Laureate Gamma ETA: Chapter Beta Sigma Phi, for 29 years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Charles Monday; daughter, Kimberly Monday; son, Leeman Monday Sr. (Angel); three grandchildren: Kearstin Monday, Leeman Monday Jr. (Katelynn), and Danielle Hart; and her great-grandchild, Manuel Bennett. She is also survived by her siblings: John Deal, Brenda Deal, and Pam Mesaeh.

She is preceded in death by her parents as well as her beautiful granddaughter, Sheyanne Hauger.

Visitation will be held at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 11am-1pm. Service will begin at 1pm at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home, with a graveside to follow at Calvary Cemetery where Julia will be laid to rest.
