Joyce Ann Harvey Watson, 85, of Terre Haute and formerly of Montezuma went home to Jesus on February 24, 2022, succumbing to her fight with cancer.

She was born Jan. 18, 1937 in Danville, Illinois to Max and Ellen Harvey then moved to Chicago and then to Montezuma where she graduated high school and then married Jim Watson in May 1954.

She was a member of Montezuma Christian Church and attended Union Christian Church in Terre Haute. She was a member of the Women's Euchre Club since 1956 and enjoyed attending Bible study. She spent her retirement loving and playing with all of her grandchildren and celebrating all of their accomplishments even attended grandchildren's events from basketball to wrestling to football to choir/band concerts to 4-H events. Her faith in Jesus came first, but after that her family (her husband of 60 years), her children, grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren are what brought her the most happiness and joy on this earth.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a brother, and a brother-in-law.

She is survived by two sons, Mike (Gina) Watson of Mt. Zion, Illinois and Randy (Genny) Watson of West Terre Haute, Indiana; daughter, Kim (Chris) Skiba of West Lafayette, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Chad (Jill) Watson, Lindsey (Caleb) Damery, Amy (Nick) Guinn, Brandon Watson, Matthew and Megan Skiba, Kyle Watson, Somer (Brian) Nourse, and Sarah (Daniel) Pigg; ten great-grandchildren, Shae, Cael, Breanna, Lexie, Braylon, Rylee, Jackson, India, Elliott, and Allyn; a sister, Judy Leitch; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be Monday, February 28, from 12:00-2:00 PM at Brown-Mack Funeral Home in Montezuma. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, with Ramona Logan and Reverend Keith McIntyre officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Montezuma.
