Indianapolis, Indiana - INDIANAPOLIS - Joyce Louise Nichols, 62, of Indianapolis passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026 in her residence surrounded by her loving family.

She was born August 18, 1963 in Hendricks County, Indiana to Myron Eugene and Betty Lou (Sours) Johnson.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Robert "Bob" Nichols; daughter, Kristi Reed (Wes); sons, Mike Nichols (Kristina) and Steve Nichols (Amanda); sisters, Debbi Guenzel (Mark) and Becky Giltz (Terry); brother, Tim Johnson (Nancy); grandchildren, Ava Reed, Micaiah Reed, Gabe Nichols, Jason Nichols, Jocelynn Nichols, Gwendolynn Nichols, Brailyn Walden, Tobias Nichols, Daphne Nichols, and Daisy Nichols; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Joyce enjoyed making pottery and Christmas Time. She was a volunteer with Love of Labs. She loved spending time with all of her grandchildren and Joyce had turned to Christ, putting all of her trust in Him.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with funeral services starting at 2:00 pm in the funeral home with Dan Reed officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at:
