Terre Haute, IN - John Joseph Trueblood Sr., 75, passed away on October 5, 2025. He was born on April 15, 1950 in Terre Haute to Willie Trueblood and Ellen (Devine) Trueblood. He was known for being one of the best athletes to graduate from Schulte High School - graduating in 1968 as a four-sport athlete. John proudly served in the United States Marine Corp, and he retired from Novelis as a crew concept manager.
John continued to love sports well after high school. He loved to play golf, and he was a huge fan of Notre Dame, IU, and ISU.
He is survived by his children John Trueblood Jr. (Tyra) and Summer Burke (Brandon), grandchildren Bria Burke, Olivia Burke, Justen Trueblood, and Jayden Trueblood; special friend Mary Ann Klain, and siblings Judy Williams and Danny Trueblood (Barb).
He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Cindy Trueblood, and both of his parents.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025 from 4 pm to 8 pm at DeBaun Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center or the Veteran's Memorial Museum of Terre Haute. Online condolences can be left at www.debaunfuneralhomes.com.
