Rockville, Indiana - ROCKVILLE - John A. Day, 89, of Rockville, Indiana, passed away at Monday, June 2, 2025, at his residence. He retired as an FAA Air Traffic Controller from Indianapolis International Airport with 28 years of service. He was born December 10, 1935, in Logansport, Indiana, to the late William A. Day and Dorothy L. Penn Day.

His wife of 62 years, Sharon M Benthin Day, whom he married on August 30, 1958, in Watertown, South Dakota, preceded him in death on September 13, 2021. Survivors include two daughters, Cathy Ford of Rockville and Natalie (Rodney) Calkin of Show Low, Arizona, four granddaughters; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, William A. Day and son-in-law, David Ford. John served in the United States Air Force and was a 1954 graduate of Logansport High School.
