Terre Haute, IN - TERRE HAUTE - Joan Gertrude Featherston passed away peacefully at home in her bed in the early morning of Thursday, January 22, 2026. Joan was 89 years old.
Born on October 31, 1936 in Warren Ohio, Joan was the daughter of Isaiah and Gertrude White. Her family moved often in her early years, settling near Brazil, IN.
Joan came to love and serve her God Jehovah as a young woman. She was dedicated and baptized to Jehovah in the fall of 1958 and helped bring many family members and others into the faith she served faithfully for 67 years.
Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph W. Featherston; and beloved son Michael E. Miller; along with three (3) brothers: Daniel, Clyde, and Charlie.
She is survived by a loving daughter-in-law Catherine Miller; a son Don Miller (Susan); sisters: Clara Dyer (Kenny), Kathy Barnard (Bob), Barbara Barnard (Russell), Shirley Purcell (Gary), and Georgia Heyde; and one remaining brother Alan White. Joan is leaving behind 3 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
