Frankfort, Indiana - FRANKFORT - Ronald "Jerry" Eder, age 99, died on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

He was born on March 8, 1926, in Brazil, IN, to Albert and Lena Eder. He graduated from Staunton High School in 1944, then entered the Navy, serving until 1946. With GI Bill funds, he continued his education at Indiana State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree, and later with a Master's degree.

In 1950, he began his teaching, coaching, and refereeing career throughout the Wabash Valley area, including Brazil, IN; Clinton, IN; and Salem, IN; Pimento High School, Otter Creek Junior High School, Garfield High School, and Terre Haute North Vigo High School, retiring in 1986.

Jerry was an active member and Sunday School teacher at Barbour Avenue United Methodist Church, and Northside United Methodist Church, both in Terre Haute, and Parrish United Methodist Church in Parrish, FL.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Steve Walker; granddaughter, Devon Adamson; and great-grandchildren, Jacob and Sylvia Adamson, and Rilee Norman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances A. Wailly; son, Jeff Eder; grandsons, Calvin Walker and Daren Adamson; sister, Carolyn Tausig; and nephew, Steven Tausig.

According to Jerry's wishes, there will be no public services.
