Jerry Lee "Jake" Brown, 70, of Jasonville, IN passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022 in his home in Jason- ville, IN.
He was born February 10, 1952 in Linton, IN to William L. "Bill" Brown and Betty L. (Gibson) Brown.
Survivors include his children, Lacey Webb (Doug) of Jasonville, IN; grandsons, Devin Stienstra, Drake Netherlain, Layne Webb, Levi Webb, Logan Webb; father, Bill Brown of Sullivan, IN; brother, John Brown (Joy) of Hymera, IN; nieces, Linda Doty (Chad), Rebecca Martlage (Kevin), Trisha Stockdell (Dean).
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Jake graduated from North Central High School Class of 1970. Jake enjoyed watching his grandsons at their sporting events; they were the joy of his life. He was an avid motorcycle rider and a lifetime member of the Cloven Hoofs Motorcycle Club in Bloomington, IN. He had also enjoyed riding dirt bikes. He was a Charter Member of Sons of American Legion Post #298 in Hymera, IN. Jake retired from Laborers Union Local #204 in Terre Haute, IN.
Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, IN. Visitation is scheduled from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. Friday, December 30, 2022 at the funeral home. Services are immediately following at 2 P.M. with Pastor David Smith officiating. Interment will be at K of P Cemetery in Hymera, IN.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Jake to Sons of American Legion Post #298, P.O. Box 324, Hymera, IN 47855. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
