Jerald B. Davis Obituary

Jerald B. Davis, 91, of Marshall, IL, formerly of Terre Haute, IN, passed away 4:20 PM Monday, Jan. 1, 2024.

Jerald was born Nov. 17, 1932 at Terre Haute, IN, the son of Lloyd Edward and Helen Jean Peisman Davis.

Surviving are two sons, David (Carol) Davis of Marshall, IL and Gary (Amber) Davis of Champaign, IL; two daughters, Julie (Bill) Allen and Carla (Brian) Vanatti, both of Marshall, IL; a brother, Ronald Davis of Churubusco, IN; fourteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Jean Trezise of Terre Haute, IN, Robert Davis of Deland, FL, Marion McGovern of Indianapolis, IN, John Jack Davis of Orofino, ID and Lloyd Michael Davis of Terre Haute, IN.

Jerald retired as an electrician of IBEW of Local #725. Following his retirement he moved to Marshall, IL and built his own cabin in the woods next to his son where he could be close to family and nature. He loved to fish in the pond and was an avid deer hunter. Jerald served this nation in the U.S. Army. He also loved to carve and keep busy creating items for himself and others.

A gathering for family and friends will be held 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Saturday, Jan. 20 at the Rayne Meadow Event Center, 15971 N. Arford Rd., Marshall, IL. Online condolences are being accepted at:
