Terre Haute, Indiana - TERRE HAUTE - Jeffrey L. Bellinger, 65, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on May 4, 2026.

He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana, on December 3, 1960, to William Albert Bellinger and Winifred (Higham) Bellinger. Jeff worked at Indiana State University for 40 years as a Police Officer. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan and Chicago Cubs fan. He also was a NASCAR fan with Chase Elliott being his favorite driver. His happy place was visiting Dietz Lake, where his wife and him met; he could enjoy being outdoors, sitting by a campfire, and riding his golf cart.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 43 years Patricia (Hillbrant) Bellinger; siblings William "Pete" Bellinger (Suzi) and Nancy Bellinger; nieces and nephews Jenny Baugh (Andy), Chris Bellinger (Jessie) and Kyle Bellinger (Victoria), and Kevin Bellinger; great-niece and nephew Peighton and Carson Baugh; sisters-in-law Donna Zehrung and Denise Bellinger; brother-in-law Gary Hillbrant; cats Char and Chazzy; and several extended family members and friends. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Michael Bellinger, Patrick Bellinger, and Susie Bellinger.

Memorial services are scheduled for Friday, May 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. in Roselawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 11:00a.m. until service time. Graveside services will follow.
