MARSHALL, Ill. - Jeanne Joyce Johnson, age 80, of Marshall, Illinois, passed away at 1:50 a.m. July 23, 2016, at Burnsides Nursing Home, Marshall, Illinois. Mrs. Johnson was born on May 9, 1936, in Jonesfield Township, Michigan, the daughter of William and Helen (Pawlica) Klembecki. She married Daniel A. Johnson on April 30, 1955, at a Catholic church in Inkster, Michigan. Jean was a homemaker, and lovingly raised six children. She was an amazing cook and welcomed all who were hungry to her table. She showed love to everyone she crossed paths with, and had a great appreciation for gardening and flowers. She loved to read and watch the birds on her many bird feeders. Her greatest love was attending all the sporting events of her children and grandchildren. You could always count on her for a kind word, understanding smile and hug.
She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel A.; dearest mother of Timothy (Sue) Johnson of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, William (Beth) Johnson of Dundee, Michigan, and Chris (fiancée Sherri Dunlap) of Poway, California; daughter, Patricia (Brian) Shaffner of Marshall, Illinois; and the late Terry D. and Daniel P.; loving grandmother of Michael Johnson, Holly Johnson, Terry (Brittany) Johnson, Abby Johnson, Kaitlyn Johnson, Savannah Shaffner, Macy Shaffner, Shane Johnson and Chloe Johnson; great-grandmother of Alyssa Johnson; mother-in-law of Terri Johnson Lewis; and sister of Patricia (Rich) Wagner of Escondido, California.
