Eugene, Missouri - Jay William Coakley, 66, of Eugene, Missouri, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025.

He was born on February 21, 1959, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to the late James William and Joanne Elizabeth (Edwards) Coakley Miller.

Jay is survived by his loving wife, Jacquelyn "Jackie" Coakley; daughter, Megan Cook (Brad); stepdaughters, Leslie Torres (Michael), Ashley Philbert, and Chelsea Wright; and grandchildren, Jack Cook, Elizabeth Cook, Paisley Torres, Aiden Torres, Stella Petty, and Vaeda Petty. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Judy Rockers; brothers-in-law, Philip Rockers (Trish) and Paul Rockers (Tina Wibberg); sister-in-law, Kathy Jarman (Bob); nephew, Sean Coakley (Denise); aunt, Jane Edwards; cousins, Mark Edwards (Stephanie) and Debi Switzer (David); nieces, Danielle Edwards and Kati Parrett (Alex); and great-niece, Anna Gaither (Will); and many dear friends.

Family and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.

Jay's legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he loved, and the many memories shared by those who were fortunate to know him.
