James David "Dave" French passed away at home with his wife by his side on Nov. 7, 2018, after a courageous battle with glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). He was born in Terre Haute on March 31, 1962, to Buddy Richard French and Marian Sue (Craig) Chrisman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Joseph Chrisman; brother-in-law, Mark Sanders; and father-in-law, Willie Partin.

Dave is survived by his wife of 23 years, Tina (Trent) French; his daughter, Tristan French; stepchildren, Brandon White (Summer), Amber Hoopingarner (Andrew) and Frank Saathoff (Valerie); seven grandchildren; brothers, Bud French (Nikki) and Michael Chrisman; sisters, Teri Sanders, HonnaLora Hubbard (Billy) and Sandy Beck (Rick); his mother-in-law, Wanda Partin; and his three German shepherds.

Dave began his driving career with UPS in January of 1988 and retired in August of 2018. He was a member of Teamsters Union and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

In honoring Dave's wishes, there is no visitation or funeral services. Cremation was chosen. Roselawn Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements. Expressions of sympathy and fond memories may be shared at:
