Terre Haute - Jackie Ray Clouse Sr., 80, of Terre Haute, IN, formerly of Marshall, IL, passed away 10:01 PM Wednesday, April 8, 2026 in Union Hospital after an extended illness. He was born August 25, 1945 at Marshall, IL, the son of Roscoe and Blanche Clouse who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jackie Ray Clouse Jr.; two sisters and three brothers. Surviving is his wife, Judith E. Roman Phillips-Clouse; two sons, Brian Clouse and Dustin Clouse; two step-daughters, Cynthia Phillips-Sabla and Katy Smith and nine grandchildren. Jack had been a member of Local #841 for 40 years and served this nation in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. He was a member of the VFW and Clark Co. Post #90 where he had served as commander several different times. When his health permitted he was an avid bowler and while attending Marshall High School he excelled in football. Services in honor of his life will be 2:00 PM CST Thursday, April 16th at Pearce Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Kelly officiating. Visitation will be 12 Noon until service time Thursday. Burial will be in the Auburn Cemetery at a later date. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Clark Co. Post #90 of the American Legion.
