Brazil, Indiana - Jack Edward Miller, 83, of Brazil, passed away January 25, 2026, at 10:45am at Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis following a brief illness.

Jack was born February 25, 1942, in Clay County, the son of James Jacob Miller and Hazel Irene Jeffers Miller. He graduated from Van Buren High School with the Class of 1962. He met Freida Zentko in the 4th grade, and their friendship grew into a lifetime. They were married on July 20, 1962. Frieda preceded Jack in death in 2019.

Jack never met a stranger and was known for his witty sense of humor, kidding everyone he knew. He was a well-known painter in the Wabash Valley. He and his son, Trent, worked as Miller Painting and painted something for almost everyone in town. Jack loved to travel and was proud to have had the opportunity to take his family on a summer vacation every year visiting all 48 of the Continental United States. He and Frieda enjoyed family holidays, especially Christmas, and for many years decorated the exterior of their home with thousands of lights for all to enjoy. Jack was a member of the Ebenezer Church and the United Painter's Union.

He is survived by his children, Pam Nodley and husband Troy of Brazil, Keith Miller of West Palm Beach, FL, and Trent Miller and wife Vanessa of Brazil; grandchildren, Travis Nodley and wife Meranda, Matt Nodley and wife Jessica and Nathan Nodley; great-grandchildren, Avery Nodley, Ayden Nodley, Rogue Nodley, Calum Nodley and Braelyn McGee; his sister Odena Harper; many nieces, nephews and close friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; great-grandson, Easton Nodley; sisters, Wanda Schraedley and Darlene Horn; brother Charles Dale Miller.

If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riley Children's Hospital in memory of Easton Nodley or to the Ebenezer Church.

Services will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 1:00pm at the Lawson-Miller Chaple, with Pastor Dan Webster and John Price officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
