ROSEDALE - Jack Bernard Brown, age 91, of Rosedale, Indiana, died Saturday, October 12, 2024, at home.

Born June 8, 1933, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Dan and Jessie Beel Brown, Jack was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a graduate of Concannon High School and played on both the basketball and baseball teams. After graduation, he married Pauline Forster Brown.

Jack served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 as a tank mechanic. Upon discharge from the Army, he went to work at Ethyl Visqueen and was there until his retirement.

Jack enjoyed bowling, collecting walnuts, hunting mushrooms, being outdoors, and pitching horseshoes, and was an avid Cubs fan. He attended Rosedale United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Connie Ames Brown; daughter, Sherri (Cliff) Greene of Goshen; sons, Gary (Patti) Brown of Centerville and Warren (Peggy) Brown of Rosedale; Connie's children, DeeDee (Ted) Leggett, Jim Ames, Dawn (Ron) Guckenberger, and John (Sheila) Ames; grandchildren, Melissa (Rob) Eichorst, Stacey Greene, Colin (Heather) Cress, Parker (Sayre Frederick) Brown, Benita (Luke) MacDonald, Bobbi (Brad) Todd, Betsi (Lucas) Collom, Brandi (Casey) Landes, Beau Brown, and Brett (Hilliree) Brown; 36 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years, Pauline Brown; parents; brother, James "Danny" Brown; and sister, Roberta "Bobbi" Schell.

Visitation for Jack Bernard Brown will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Cottrell Gooch Funeral Home, 281 N. Main Street, Rosedale. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 17, 2024, at Cottrell Gooch Funeral Home with Ashley Vitz officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
