Harry W. Wilson, 81, of Riley, IN, passed away at 4:30 AM Friday, November 17th, 2023, in the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care at Terre Haute, IN.
He retired from Sears where he worked for 55 years and he retired as Assistant Store Manager.
Harry was born July 19, 1942, in Gary, IN, the son of Noble Wilson and Marjorie Wood Wilson. In 1993 he married Carolyn Chatman at Farmersburg, IN, and she survives. Also surviving are a son, Kevin (Tracy) Wilson; a daughter, Tawnya (Marty) Pasko; a daughter-in-law, Leann Dossett; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Dossett; and two sisters, Barbara Inboden and Delores Gawlik.
He was a member of the Oak Hill Community Church at Riley, was currently serving on the Riley Town Board and was a member of the Riley Lions Club. An active member of Riley Lodge #390, he was a 33rd Degree Mason and the Scottish Rite Valley. He was also a graduate of the Oblong, IL, High School.
Services in honor of his life will be 1:00 PM Saturday, December 2nd, at the Oak Hill Community Church at Riley with Pastor Tim Fagg officiating. Full Masonic rites with Scottish Rites 33rd Degree and MSA Service will follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
