Rockville, Indiana - ROCKVILLE - Gerald "Gary" Alan Ball, 81, of Rockville, Indiana, passed away at 2:00 am on Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute.

He worked in the health field most of his life. He was manager of the Rockville Nursing Home. Also, he was employed by the Parke County Health Department and the Family Health and Help Center in Rockville.

He was born June 4, 1939 in Parke County, Indiana, to the late Frank Ross Ball and Margaret Madeline Rich Ball.

His wife of 23 years, Lois Condon Gallagher, whom he married July 13, 1997 in Rockville, survives. Other survivors include four children, Randall Allan Ball of Hudsonville, Illinois, Belinda (Steve) Lance of Red Bud, Illinois, Kimberly Ann (John) Hobson of Hudsonville, Illinois, and Amy Jane (Jim) Cunningham of Brazil, Indiana; two stepchildren, Michelle L. Gallaher of Parke County, Indiana, and Karin M. (Matt) Kendall of Greencastle, Indiana; one brother, Dale (Janice) Ball; two sisters, Delores (John) Woody and Sharon (Jim) Hill; 10 grandchildren, Brandie Ruark, Chad Lance, Daniel Cunningham, Cory Ball, Steven Hammonds, Cole Ball, Chelsea Gallagher, Shelby Fields, Jackson Kendall and Dylan Kendall; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He served in the Indiana National Guard. He enjoyed family gatherings, reading and crossword puzzles.

Visitation is 12 noon until 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Gooch Funeral Home. Services will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, with the Rev. Don Willis officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Memory Garden Cemetery, Rockville.
