TERRE HAUTE - Floyd Luther Sanders, 78, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. He was born on August 11, 1943 in Terre Haute to Harry E. Sanders and Doris Ruth (Pointer) Sanders.

He is survived by his two sisters, Martha Truesdale and Mary Patton; his brother, James Sanders; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Ruth Ann Sproull and Bertha Mae Sanders.

Floyd worked at Wal-Mart in Terre Haute for several years. He enjoyed playing guitar and bowling. Floyd was a member of King's Harvest Church. Most of all, Floyd loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Leek officiating. Floyd will be laid to rest next to family in Grandview Cemetery.
