Everett Elton Fulkerson, 62, of Clinton and formerly of Metropolis, Illinois, passed away at 3:20 a.m. EDT Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at his residence in Clinton.

He was born Oct. 14, 1953, in Paducah, Kentucky, the son of the late Emil and Verna Mae (Hille) Fulkerson.

Everett married Cindy (Shields) Hawn on Dec. 11, 2002, in Okeechobee, Florida. She survives.

Other survivors include his stepchildren, Julie (James) Geralds of Crawfordsville, Indiana; Clint (Jessica) Hawn of Winnona Lake, Indiana; and Sammi (Robert) Watson of Newport, Indiana; his mother-in-law, Francis Fleck of Clinton, Indiana; five grandchildren, Breanna, Levi, Ethan, Jaycee and Reese; brother, Kevin (Brenda) Fulkerson of Marysville, Washington; uncle, Wayne Hille of Paducah, Kentucky; two nieces, Taylor and Lena Fulkerson; and in-laws, Carolyn Conrad, Judy Shields, Jack Shields and Tom Shields.

Everett was preceded in death by his brother, Galen Fulkerson; two granddaughters; one grandson; a brother-in-law, Jerry; and his beloved dog, Jackson.

Everett was a maintenance planner at Bluegrass Demil in Richmond, Kentucky. He enjoyed wildlife, working with stainglass, fishing, traveling, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball, spending time with family, friends and his two dogs, George and Iggy.

Funeral services: 2 p.m. CDT Saturday, April 23, 2016, at Aikins and Farmer Funeral Home, 70 Jon St., Metropolis, Illinois 62960. Burial: Odd Fellows Cemetery in Metropolis, Illinois.
