Evelyn Frances Paul
Evelyn Frances "Eve" Paul, born Aoife Gill in Dublin, Ireland passed away in her home October 5, 2019 surrounded by her beloved husband and two daughters. She was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and an incredible woman.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Reginald Paul; their children, Sharon Tyler (née Paul), Dwayne Paul, Martin Paul and Amanda Paul; grandchildren, Derrick Cash, Brendon Cash, Alecia Cash, Amber Dankert (née Paul), Jacqueline Paul and Andrew Paul; her fourteen great-grandchildren and her faithful dog, Nigel Collins.
Ireland's quilted land is a perfect metaphor for Eve's life. Her individual journey began in Dublin, Ireland born to Alecia and Edward Gill with a move later to Banbury, England where she met her husband, Reg, starting a joint journey bringing them to the States and eventually Terre Haute, Indiana. During her time, she blossomed from a curious, cheeky child to a nurturing, loving woman who was always filled with laughter and love. She is adored by all of her family and most of whom has had the privilege of sharing in her stories, quick wit and poise. She was a dynamic woman who will continue to grace us with her eternal love.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Eve on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 2 p.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery and services officiated by Fr. John Hollowell. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home, before processing to the church. In lieu of flowers, Eve's family asks that you consider a donation to Riley Children's Foundation, 30 South Meridian Street, Suite #200, Indianapolis, IN 46204. My utmost and sincere condolences to the Paul family. I knew Eve from the time I spent at their home when Reg and I were working on CAP business or just shooting the breeze. She always made you feel welcome and like a special guest. She was a sweet lady and the world will be a lonelier place without her in it.

Amanda, we are very sorry for your loss. We would have come to the visitation but we were not in town. Mom's are very special people. The love they create lives on in everyone that they have touched. Let her example live in you..

Mrs. Paul will always be remembered as a perfect lady to me . She always had a smile on her face, exuded love , welcoming and kindness. Mandy adores her mom, and I saw Mrs. Paul through her eyes. It has been my pleasure and honor to know Mrs. Paul and all the Paul family. I am sorry for all of your loss, and I will always remember Mrs. Paul. May she also be remembered eternally.
