ROSEDALE -- Eleanor Jean Engle, 90, of Rosedale, died at 4:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2017, at Vermillion Convalescent Center, in Clinton. She was a homemaker, farmer and dairywomen. She was born March 26, 1926, in Parke County, to the late Ellis Huxford and Ethel Keltz Huxford.

Survivors include her husband of 72 years, William E. Engle, whom she married March 15, 1944; also surviving, two sons, Duane Engle of Hilliard, Fla., and Mark Engle of Rosedale; one daughter, Jane (Bob) Cunning of Rosedale; one sister, Ruth Ann (Bob) Blair of Rosedale; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Tom Engle; and a brother, Marion Huxford.

She was a graduate of Rosedale High School. She was a member of Daily Chapel Christian Church and the Wabash Valley sewing connection for many years.

Service will be 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, 287 N. Main St., with the Rev. Adam Coffman officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday.
