Eldon was a union meat cutter for over forty years, working at A&P, the Apple House, and Kroger. He loved to grocery shop and make sure that family and friends alike had plenty of food to eat. Eldon had a heart of gold and wanted to make sure that people were fed and cared for. He loved to grow vegetables every year in his large garden. He canned his harvest alongside his family. He enjoyed visiting the Amish communities and going to the auction barn. Eldon was a treasure trove of memories and could spend hours reminiscing about the good days. A hard worker, he instilled that spirit in his family. He was a Dad, not just to his three daughters, but also to all of their friends. Eldon enjoyed the time he spent on vacations to Florida with family and in-laws. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and Zorah Shrine. Eldon's memory will live on through the stories he shared and the love he gave so freely to those who crossed his path.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm on Friday, April 3, 2026 at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, at the funeral home. Eldon will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park.
