BRAZIL - Edward "Joe" Joseph Staub Jr., 79, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2019, at Exceptional Living Center in Brazil. He was born on September 30, 1939, in Beech Grove, Indiana, to the late Edward J. and Thelma A. (Hall) Staub.
Joe graduated from Greencastle High School, and served his country in the United States Army. After finishing his apprenticeship, he worked as a pipefitter for the Local 157, and was an active member of Annunciation Catholic Church, and St. Paul's in Danville, Illinois.
In his free time, Joe enjoyed working with his hands and tools, always offering to help when someone had a problem. He enjoyed traveling and watching old westerns, but mostly spending time with his family.
Joe was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bob Taylor. Survivors include his wife, Karen Staub, Brazil, Indiana; sons, Raymond (Mary) Staub, Brazil, Indiana, and Jerry (Jill) Staub, Bluffton, South Carolina; daughters, Amanda Staub, Danville, Illinois, and Mary (Patrick) Feild, Terre Haute, Indiana; brother, Jimmy (Nancy) Staub, Sevierville, Tennessee; sisters, Joan Taylor, Greencastle, Indiana, and Janet Winn, Cincinnati, Ohio; and grandchildren, Vincent Staub, Jacob Staub, Jack Staub, Aurora Feild, and Dahlia Feild.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at Annunciation Catholic Church in Brazil, with Father John Hollowell officiating. The family will accept friends for visitation on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil. Online condolences may be expressed at:
