Edward Kenneth Jones, 91, of Sun City Center, Fla., passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018. Ed was born Sept. 9, 1926, in Terre Haute, to Leo Jones and Edith Jones.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a pilot.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Martha; his grandson, Steven J. Firestone, whom they raised from 3 days old; two sons, Mike Jones and wife Leah of Falls Church, Va., and their children Jeff and Sherry; and Steve Jones and wife Martha of Bristol, Va., and their children, Stanley and Stephanie.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Committal services will follow at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park.
