BRIDGETON-Edward C. Eddie Bratcher, 83, of Bridgeton, Indiana passed away Monday, May 3, 2021 at his residence. He retired from Harrison Steel Castings Company in Attica and was a carpenter. He was born December 23, 1937 in Beaver Dam, Kentucky to the late Loy E. Bratcher and Dora Lee Wells Bratcher. His wife of 47 years, Colleen Kay Anderson Bratcher whom he married April 2, 1960 preceded him in death January 19, 2008. Survivors include two brothers, Larry (Susan) Bratcher of Rockville and Steve (Beth) Bratcher of Rosedale; three sisters, Freda Irwin of Rockville, Janice Urbain of Rockville and Shirley Ash of Rosedale; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Lynn Payne of Bridgeton; a special friend, Kay Witt; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Ann Fisher and one brother, Noble Bratcher, Sr. He was a 1956 graduate of Bridgeton High School. He served 13 years with the Indiana National Guard. He was a member of the Vigo County Conservation Club participating in many Powwows. Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, May 7, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville with Pastor Gene Walls officiating. Burial will follow at Clear Run Cemetery in Bridgeton. Visitation is from 12 noon until 2:00 pm Friday at Gooch Funeral Home.
