TERRE HAUTE - Doris Jean Minnett "Jeannie," 63, of Terre Haute, gracefully departed on Monday, December 9, 2019, in IU Methodist Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on February 6, 1956, in Terre Haute, to Henry Clay Maxwell Jr. and Willa Mae Maxwell.

Jeannie married the love of her life Barry Minnett on October 10, 1975. They were happily married and celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary this year.

Jeannie was employed at a variety of jobs during her lifetime. She worked at J.I. Case, was a teacher's aide, worked home health care, and worked at Columbia House.

Jeannie took great pride in being on time for work, not missing days, and being a valuable asset to her team.

Jeannie loved her family very much and was equally loved by them. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family and close friends, playing games on her tablet, playing with her cat "Oreo" and her dog "Mya," and attending her grandchildren's sporting events, and is the reigning champ for the card game "Speed."

Jeannie was baptized, received the Holy Spirit, and was a member of Greater Kingdom International Church. She loved God, loved her church family, and enjoyed attending church.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Clay Maxwell Jr. and Willa Mae Maxwell, and her daughter Danielle Marie Minnett.

Jeannie is survived by her husband, Barry Minnett of Terre Haute; a special uncle D.M. (Barbara) Anderson; one daughter, Stefanie Jean Minnett; one son, Barry (Jessica) Minnett Jr. and four grandchildren, Barry Minnett III, Jaylen Barry Minnett, Carter J. Minnett, and Jedidiah B. Minnett; two adopted sons, Michael Maxwell II and three daughters, Madasyn, Manhattan, and Monroe; Joshua Maxwell and one son, Joshua II; Daniel Maxwell and two daughters, Danielle and Chevelle; two brothers, Henry (Kim) Maxwell III, Michael (Carol) Maxwell Sr., four nephews, Henry Maxwell IV, Derrick Maxwell, Shane Russell, Isaiah Maxwell; a niece, Aigner Bradley; a special friend to the family Tim (Patte) Baynard; and a host of brothers-in-law, a sister-in-law, also several cousins and friends.

Service is at 12:00pm on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 2401 7th Avenue, Terre Haute, IN.
