Doris E. Baysinger, 78, of Terre Haute, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at her residence. Doris was born in Universal, on Feb.14, 1938, the daughter of the late Ernest and Emily (Spitler) Carrithers.

Doris was a homemaker and was happiest when she had a houseful of children to take care of and spoil. She enjoyed to cook and bake, and was a very loving mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Ernest Jr., Donald, Darrell, Richard and Harold Carrithers, Catherine Carrithers and Patricia Jones. Doris is survived by her children, David Baysinger, Debra Utterback, Donald Baysinger, Catherine McCullough, Marilyn Baysinger, all of Terre Haute and Carolyn Sharp of Tyler, Texas; sisters, Helen Hammond of Michigan, Phyllis Jones of Missouri, and Debbie Stafford and Sharon Grubb, both of Indiana; brothers, Kenneth Carrithers and Jerry Carrithers, both of Indiana; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
