Brazil, Indiana - BRAZIL [mdash] Donald Paul Miller, 93, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away on January 19, 2026, while staying at The Gibson Center for Hospice Care, in Terre Haute,

Don was born on January 2, 1933, in Ashboro, Indiana, the son of Lester H. and Louise (Lawrence) Miller. Don graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1950. While in high school Don was a member of the National Honor Society and played basketball and ran cross country. Don worked as a sheet metal worker with Local 20 for 70 years. He was a dedicated member of the Clay Community School Board for 16 years and a devoted member of the Clay Community Schools Building Trades from 1975 through 2025.

In his free time, Don enjoyed fishing, hunting, and mushroom hunting. In later years he enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels.

He was preceded in death by his son Don Miller Jr.; grandson Chad Miller; brothers: Lester Miller Jr., and Charles Robert "Bud" Miller; and a sister Helen "Jeanne" Kelton.

Survivors include his wife Marylou (McCollister) Miller whom he married on February 7, 1953; son Jim Miller (Julia); daughter Paula Williams (Ken); grandchildren: Andria Buck (Darren), Heather Fessenden (Mike), Ryan Williams, J. D. Miller (Rose), Nichole Lynn Williams (Jeremy), Levi Wayne Miller (Michelle); 17 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; nephew, Donald Terry Kelton; and nieces, Penny Hood and Janet White; as well as many extended family members and friends.

Visitation for Don will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave., Brazil, IN 47834, on Monday, January 26, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, from noon until time of services. Services will be on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery.
