TERRE HAUTE - Dixie Lee Lawson-Thompson, 80, of Terre Haute, crossed over her mountain to be with her Lord and Savior and rejoined the love of her life, her husband Bobby Joe, and her son, Mike, on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. She was born on June 11, 1940, in Terre Haute to Clair Lawson and Ruby (Butts) Lawson-Tincher.

Dixie graduated from Otter Creek High School. She worked for over 40 years at Wabash Fibre Box Company.

Dixie is survived by her stepbrother, Terry Tincher of Clay City; sister-in-law, Judy Torbert of Brazil; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She will be greatly missed by those that she left behind.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 12, in Roselawn Memorial Park. Mattox-Wood Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at:
