Dianna Mae Sturm-Richey, 60, of Terre Haute, died peacefully in her sleep Saturday, May 7, 2016, at her residence. She had bravely battled cancer for the last nine months. Dianna was born in Terre Haute on Oct. 30, 1955, the daughter of the late Willard and Beatrice (Smith) Richey.
Dianna enjoyed quilting, gardening and working on her handloom where she made and sold handmade rugs. She was the owner and sole proprietor of Under Foot Hand Woven Rugs. She also enjoyed her fur babies and was never without her buddy, Spencer, her favorite Sheltie.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen W. Sturm Sr. of Terre Haute; daughter, Jennifer Chappell of Terre Haute; son, Jared Mancourt of St. Bernice; sister, Karen Lathham of Hastings, Minn.; brother, Dale Richey of Shelburn; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
As per her wishes, there will be no services, and a private interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Simple Cremations and Burials.
