PARIS, Ill. - Dennis Lee Dunlap, 61, of rural Paris, passed away at 5:22 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at his residence. Born Sept. 23, 1954, in Terre Haute, Ind., the son of the late Delbert O. Dunlap and Imogene O. (Eller) Dunlap.

Dennis was a cattle farmer and was a member of New Providence Church, the National Hot Rod Association, and National Cattleman's Association.

Survivors include his wife, Pam (McCracken) Dunlap; a son, Scott (Brooke Good) Dunlap of Dennison, Ill.; a daughter, Nicole Dunlap of Terre Haute; stepchildren, Amanda (Mike) Lumpp of Paris, Jennifer (Tim) Maggart of Peru, Ind., and Sara Fainot of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Karson, Hunter, Hadlee, Chesney, and Carli; stepgrandchildren, Amber, Raven, Teegan, Gauge, Eloise, and Hudson; two nephews, Nathan Dunlap of Paris and Seth Dunlap of New Orleans; a great-nephew, Mathis; a great-niece, Masyn; a cousin, Travis Sturgell of Paris; and sister-in-law, Jayne Williams of Paris, and her daughters Julie and Jamie, and their children Jenna, Jillian, and Archer.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Andy Dunlap; spouse, Kathy Hanks; one brother, James Michael Dunlap; a nephew, Ian Dunlap; and his dog, Kuge.

Visitation for Dennis will be from 4 to 8 p.m. CDT Tuesday, July 5, 2016, in Stewart and Carroll Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in New Providence Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Edgar County Shrine Club.
