Deacon Willie Anderson passed away June 1, 2019. He was born on November 2, 1942 to Jeanette C. Wilcox and Willie Anderson, grew up in Terre Haute, and graduated from Garfield High School in 1960. He worked at a number of companies including Alcan Aluminum, retiring from Alcan in 2007.

Deacon Anderson was an incredibly warm and talkative man. He spent much of his life providing for his mother, sisters, nieces and nephews and extended family. He was a faithful and unselfish soul.

Deacon Anderson was ordained a deacon in the Israel of God's Church in 2006. He served faithfully in this position until his death.

Deacon Anderson was married on October 31, 1993 to Dorothy Kazmarek. They remained married until his death.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters Shirley, Willa Mae, Jeanette; and brother Leonard. Surviving is his wife, Dorothy Anderson; siblings Reverend Dori Anderson (Barbara), Joan Lee (Jordan); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and family.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019, in the Israel of God WHA church at 801 Gilbert Ave. with calling from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday and interment in Grandview Cemetery. Russell Funeral Home assisted.
