David L. Williams passed away in his home, Thursday, March 9, 2017. He was born June 20, 1940, in Terre Haute, to Delmas Williams and Louise (Ralston) Williams. David married Sandra L. (Wright) Williams in December after a very short courtship.

Survivors include his son, Jeff Williams and daughter-in-law Jaclyn Williams; daughter, Shelley R. Williams-Bennett and son-in-law James Bennett; daughter, Carla Jill Williams; son, David Williams Jr. and daughter-in-law, Kim (Wilson) Williams; and daughter, Kelley Marie (Williams) Keene and son-in-law Todd Keene; grandchildren, Michael Keene, Blair Spreemen, Shianne Bennett, Taylor (Bennett) Northern, David Bennett, William Keene, Nicholas Williams, Olivia Bennett, Rosemary Wilson, and David Jeffrey Williams; great-grandchildren, Lily Spreemen and Wyatt Bennett; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William (Buck) and Marti Wright; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gilbert and Cindi Wright; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Judith and Marion (Bud) Gardner; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Terri Lynne and Dean Dickison; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a close cousin, Glenn Osborn.

Dave was a farmer and owned a small business, AAA Auto Salvage. He attended Rosedale Baptist Church. He was a 1959 graduate of Gerstmeyer Technical High School. He loved model A's and enjoyed rebuilding them and going up to the Newport Hill Climb. He participated in the Hill Climb for many years, including last year when he was so ill. Dave was a good husband, father and friend; he will be sorely missed.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2017, at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, 287 N. Main Street, Rosedale, with Pastor Randy McPike officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery.
