At 12:30pm on May 5, 2023, David Matthew Blake of Harmony, formerly of Terre Haute and Montezuma Indiana, was called up to heaven. He was born to Merle Blake and Wilma Stonum at the Vermillion County Hospital in Clinton, Indiana.

David graduated from Montezuma High School in 1975 and later attended Indiana State University where he obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Science. David was a long-time employee of Indy Bake (formerly Pillsbury) and Pfizer's.

He enjoyed golfing, baseball, softball, bowling, fishing, working out and spending lots of time with his grandchildren. He was a lifetime Cardinals fan and enjoyed watching the Colts and Bears during football season.

David was preceded in death by his parents Merle and Docca Blake and Wilma Stonum. Also, by his sister Marilyn Kay Horn and his brother Steven Jones.

Surviving are his brothers Brian Blake, Jeff Blake (Ted Wilson), Bill (Jane) Hann, Tim (Bobbi) Hann and sister April (Paul) Trench. Son Devon Blake and daughters Jaclyn (Justin) Vandivier, Jami (Keith) Morris and stepdaughter Brooke Browder. Grandchildren Taylor Wilson, Rayven Wilson, Dakota Wilson, Blake Morris, Rhett Morris, Madisyn Blake, Charlotte Blake, Bennett Blake and Finnley Browder.

At David's wishes, the family will be holding a private ceremony to honor and remember David on Wednesday May 10, 2023.
