Darla Kay Eslinger, 73, of Rockville, passed away Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, from injuries sustained in an auto accident. She worked multiple years in county services and was the retired EMA Director for Parke County. She was born June 11, 1944, in Rosedale, to the late William Lee Davis and Helen Alberta Brown Davis. Her husband of 55 years, D. Michael Eslinger, whom she married Oct. 13, 1962, in Clinton, passed away with her in the auto accident.

Survivors include three sons, Jeff (Donna) Eslinger of Rockville, Michael (Katie) Eslinger of Sullivan and Eric (Jennie) Eslinger of Rockville; one brother, Bill (Marilyn) Davis of Lyford; five grandchildren, Jake (Savanna) Eslinger, Nate (Lyndsy) Eslinger, Josie Eslinger, Rachel Eslinger and Olivia Eslinger; two stepgrandchildren, Kyle and Lindsey; and special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dalana Kay Eslinger.

She was a 1962 graduate of Rosedale High School and a member of Rockville Christian Church.

Joint services for Darla and Mike will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at Rockville Christian Church, 292 W. US Highway 36, Rockville. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery west of St. Bernice. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
