Terre Haute, IN - TERRE HAUTE - Daisey "Peggy" Heramb-Bailey, 90, of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025, with family by her side. She was born on January 11, 1935, in Terre Haute to Claude J. Wiles and Vera Goldie Apple Wiles.

Peg is survived by a daughter, Penny Smith (Ronald); daughters-in-law, Deborah Heramb and Dolores Heramb; brothers, Michael Wiles and James Wiles; a sister, Annabelle Lee Fuller; fourteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Donald L. Heramb; her second husband, Gene C. Bailey; sons, Mark Anthony "Tony" Heramb and Jeffery Lewis Heramb; a daughter, Kelly Dawn Cook; great grandsons, Tyler James Heramb and Charles Oliver "Ollie" Trosper; two brothers, and six sisters.

Peg proudly served in the United States Navy. She worked in maintenance for the Vigo County Public Library. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles and playing solitaire, even learning how to play on the iPad that her daughter, Kelly, gave her. Peg really liked to rearrange her furniture, because a house isn't clean unless underneath the furniture is clean. She always gave the best hugs, the warmth and love from those hugs will be forever remembered and missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home.
