Charles William Turner, "Chucky," was born March 16, 1957, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to Harold L. Turner and Dora Mae Acuff Turner. He passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at the age of 62.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He leaves to cherish his wife, Valente Turner; his daughter, Tiara Vaughan; brothers, Barry Turner and wife Yelonda, Rickey Turner and Timothy Bailey; sisters, Susie Smith and husband Larry, and Karen Turner; special sister, Angela Franklin; and a host of relatives and friends.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2019, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1000 S. 15th St., Terre Haute, Ind. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until services on Saturday with cremation to follow. Services have been entrusted to Russell Funeral Home.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
