Charles Gilbert "Chic" Hudson, 87, of Jasonville, IN passed away at 8:36 A.M. Thursday, December 14, 2023 in Greene County General Hospital in Linton, IN.

He was born April 16, 1936 in Sullivan County, IN to Gilbert Leon Hudson and Catherine (Davis) Hudson.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Elaine (Fougerousse) Hudson of Jasonville, IN who he married on September 5, 1955; children, Joe Hudson (Linda) of Terre Haute, IN, Doug Hudson (Margie) of Jasonville, IN, Mike Hudson (Laura) of Akron, OH, Pat Hudson of Jasonville, IN, Lee Hudson (Michelle) of Jasonville, IN, Ann Hudson of Missouri, Nikee Hudson of Jasonville, IN; grandchildren - 13; great-grandchildren - 41; brothers, Bob Hudson (Valerie) of Greenwood, IN, Bill Hudson (Debra) of Bloomfield, IN; sister in-law, Barbara Hudson of Hymera, IN; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Shannan Hudson.

Chic graduated from Hymera High School. He worked for GTE for 29 years and for Stone Belt Freight out of Shoals, IN. He was a Little League Coach for 23 years. He enjoyed working in the yard and being outdoors. Chic was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street; Jasonville, IN. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, December 19, 2023 and 9 A.M. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Services are 11 A.M. Wednesday, December 20, 2023.

Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, IN.
