Terre Haute, IN - TERRE HAUTE - Carl Lee Hunt, 81, of Terre Haute passed away on Monday, April 14, 2025, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

He was born August 9, 1943 in Terre Haute to Melvin B. Hunt and Edith L. Lowe Hunt. Carl served his country in the United States Army. He later went on to work as an operator for Vectren, retiring after 37 years. Carl was a talented woodworker, and enjoyed hunting and gardening. He was an active member of the Breden Memorial United Methodist Church for many years. Most of all Carl loved being with his family. The grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him so much joy.

Carl is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Carole Hunt; son Brian Hunt (Tammy); grandchildren Kody Hunt (Angel) and Kelsey Maze (Noah); great-grandchildren Zoey, Olivia, and Sadie; siblings James Hunt, Joy Webb, and Melva Sue Gardner (Kenny); sister-in-law Linda Smith Humphrey; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin sons Michael and Mark Hunt, and siblings Leona Thompson (Monty) and Melvin "Ed" Hunt (Teri), sisters-in-law Betty Jean Hunt and Vickie Smith French, and brother-in-law James Webb.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2024, at DeBaun Springhill Chapel from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Service will begin at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Reverend Deb Moore-Hardin and Pastor Paul Myers will officiate.
