Newport, Indiana - NEWPORT - Bonnie Jean Miller, 95, of Newport passed away at 5:15 p.m. EDT Saturday, August 14, 2021 at The Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana.

Bonnie was born December 1, 1925 in Tilton, Illinois the daughter of the late Gordon and Ruth Chambers Jones.

She married William H. Miller, Sr. on August 17, 1944 at Lake Village, Indiana. He preceded her in on October 2, 2008.

Survivors include her children: Jeanne Collins of Newport, Indiana; William "Bill" H. (Magie) Miller, Leroy Miller and Art (BJ) Miller all of Danville, Illinois; Phyliss (Mark) Booe of LeHigh, Florida; Tom (Gail) Miller of Dana, Indiana, and Joy Miller of Kansas City, Missouri; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren; sister: Bikki (David) Dyer of Terre Haute, Indiana; brother: Jim (Eva) Jones of Livingston, Texas.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her daughter: Ruth "Nikki" Moody, great-great-granddaughter: Kenzie Griffin; two sisters and four brothers.

Bonnie was a homemaker. She was a member of the Union Corner United Methodist Church. Bonnie was a 1944 graduate of Perrysville High School. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and cooking. She was a former 4-H leader and Youth Leader at the Union Corner United Methodist Church.

Funeral services: 11 a.m. EDT Friday, August 20, 2021 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Burial: Thomas Cemetery, Newport, Indiana; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EDT Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the funeral home. Condolences:
