Blaine Lee Pippins Obituary

Terre Haute, IN - TERRE HAUTE - Blaine Pippins, 72, of Terre Haute passed away at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care at Union Hospital on February 26, 2026.

He was born on August 31, 1953, in Dexter, Missouri to James and Nelta (Williams) Pippins. He was a 1971 graduate of Gerstmeyer High School.

He was a lifelong avid fan of his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. He also was a big fan of the Indiana State University Sycamores, Indiana Hoosiers, Indianapolis Colts and Minnesota Vikings.

He loved gardening, being outdoors, woodworking, home improvement projects, reading, music, playing guitar, watching movies (especially westerns!) and spending time with his adoring grandchildren.

He previously worked as a warehouse supervisor at Indiana State University and later worked in the commercial roofing trade before eventually becoming an independent contractor.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Terri (Hull) Pippins; son Matt Pippins of Bloomington; daughter Kate Bomar (Andrew); three grandchildren, Luke, Abigail and Caleb Bomar, and his sister Elaine Osborne (Charlie), all of Terre Haute; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Per Blaine's request, there were no services held. Cremation was entrusted to Samaritan Funeral Home.
