TERRE HAUTE - Billie Paul Wilkison, 75, passed away Monday, August 19, 2019, at his home in Terre Haute. He was born on December 4, 1943, in Brazil, and graduated from Brazil High School in 1964.

Bill served his country in the United States Naval Reserve, on the U.S.S. Boxer. He retired after 43 years as a maintenance mechanic at Bemis.

Bill loved working with his hands, and was known for his cooking and baking. He enjoyed drag racing, watching Cubs baseball and spending time with his dogs.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Robert A. Wilkison and Helen L. (Cox) Withers; and his brother, Robert Brown.

Survivors include a daughter, Deanna Waggoner, Terre Haute, Indiana; brother, Jim (Sharon) Wilkison, Brazil, Indiana; sisters, Sherry Curry, Brazil, Indiana, Barbara Pavich, Kailua, Hawaii, and Jan Finney, Chandler, Arizona; grandchildren, Trisha Waggoner, Amber Waggoner, and John Waggoner II; great-grandchild, Aubriella Waggoner; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil. The family will accept friends to share memories on Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. until the time of service.
