Rosedale, Indiana - ROSEDALE - Billie Rae Rickard, 86, of Rosedale, Indiana passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at The Villas of Guerin Woods in Georgetown.

She was born September 27, 1937, in Montezuma, Indiana to the late Ray Haughee and Pauline Plank Haughee.

Her husband of 34 years, Joseph H. Rickard, whom she married September 21, 1973, preceded her in death November 27, 2007.

Survivors include three daughters, Abbey Box of South Dakota, Alison (Steve Norton) McArty of Frenchburg, Kentucky and Heather (Brent) Lawson of Rosedale; one stepson, Joel (Kathie) Rickard of Brownsburg; two stepdaughters, Jamie (Robert) Groce of Mooresville, and Joni (Billy) Albright of Las Vegas, Nevada; one brother, Jack (Claudia) Haughee of Corydon; six grandchildren, Nicholas Ramsey, Alyssa King, Nathan Ramsey, Michael Albright, Erin Throne and Oliva Lawson; and four great-grandchildren, Clark and Bella King, Roman and Sophia Ramsey. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hayly Morgan Lawson, on April 11, 1999.

She was a graduate of Mecca High School. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockville. She enjoyed reading and collecting squirrels.

Services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 9, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, with Father Joby Puthussery officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery at a later date.
