Brazil, Indiana - BRAZIL - Billy Lee Reece, 84, of Brazil, IN passed away January 13, 2026 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Bill was the only child to Forest and Louise Reece, born December 21, 1941.

Bill was a proud graduate of Gerstmeyer High School where he had an enviable experience in baseball and basketball. This would lead to a lifelong love of all sports, be it on television or attending his children or grandchildren's events over the years.

He attended Vanderbilt University, then Indiana State University before joining the electrical apprenticeship. Bill was a union journeyman electrician for 37 years before his retirement.

Bill was a member of the Masonic lodge for 50 years, a member of the Scottish Rite, and a 33rd degree Mason for 39 years. He held many honorable positions during that tenure.

In retirement, he enjoyed spending winters in Florida with his wife, Barbara, where they made many good friends.

Bill is survived by his wife of 35 years, Barbara Reece; daughters Tammy Roeschlein, Debbie Mershon, Holly (Count) True, and Kelly (Steve) Downey; grandchildren Haley (Ben) Ebach, Heath (Christy) Chamberlain, Chelsea (Brady) Shoemaker, Caleb (Arielle) Mershon, and Paige Downey; and 8 great-grandchildren.

At his direction, there will be no services. He was very loved and will be greatly missed.
