Terre Haute, IN - TERRE HAUTE - Benny P. Tilley, 83, of Shelburn, Indiana went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 28, 2025.
He was born to Alton Tilley and Hazel Pearl (Williams) Tilley on September 1, 1941 in Arkansas. Benny loved to drive and worked as a semitruck driver for many years. He also enjoyed cutting the grass, fishing, and going to yard sales. Benny could often be found tinkering in the garage. Benny enjoyed attending services at THCOG. His favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family, especially teasing the grandchildren.
Benny is survived by his loving wife Eileen Tilley; his baby girl Paula Godden (Allen); grandchildren Alisha Rowe (Justin), Paul Thompson (Alice), Courtney Montgomery (Blake), and Brett Prunty; great-grandchildren Jakobi & Jericho Rowe, Ezra & Emerson Thompson, Everleigh Rogers & Remi Montgomery, and Colt & Addy Montgomery.
Benny is also survived by son Kenny (Terrie) and their children and great-grandchildren; daughter Rhonda and her three sons.
Benny is preceded in death by both of his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at 4:00pm at Terre Haute Church of God located at 2501 Thompson Street, Terre Haute, IN.
