CORY - Barbara L. Spriestersbach Sivertson Nicoson, 88, of Cory, Indiana, passed away on December 22, 2021, while staying at Cobblestone Crossings.

Barbara was born on January 3, 1933, the daughter of Charles and Belva M. (Ceisinger) Spriestersbach. She graduated from Riley High School and then Indiana Business College. She married Ray Sivertson and Cyril Nicoson; both who preceded her in death.

She worked as a secretary for Commercial Solvents, the Riley Elementary School, Riley Marathon and then the Dew Drop Inn. She also was a bookkeeper for Nicoson Farms Incorporated.

In addition to her parents Charles and Belva Spriestersbach and husbands Ray Sivertson and Cyril Nicoson she was preceded in death by her brother Gerald Spriestersbach; a stepson Gary L. Nicoson; and stepdaughter-in-law Barbara E. Nicoson.

She leaves behind 3 daughters: Terrilyn Sivertson, Pamela L. Stoelting and husband Jerry, Janet S. Pittman and husband Raymond; a stepson Jon Nicoson; daughter-in-law Shari Nicoson; a brother Philip (Doris) Spriestersbach; and grandchildren: Jennifer L. Grupe, Natalie Jo Stamper (D.J. Stamper), Cari Withers (Dustin), Kelli Jackson (Kasey), Kenny Pittman (Destiny), Heather Sciscoe (James), David Nicoson, Amy Haney (Lee), Shannon Carter (Joe), Stacie Critchfield, Rob Nicoson and Ashley Hutchenson (Chase); as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

At her request cremation services have been entrusted to French Funeral Home, in Brazil. Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
