Barbara J. Blocksom, 73, of West Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at her home. Barbara was born in Michigan City, on May 30, 1942, the daughter of the late Cecil and Frances (Worrell) Montgomery.
Mrs. Blocksom was a retired optometrist technician. Barbara was an avid book reader and enjoyed traveling (to Nashville, Tenn and Owensville, Ind.), camping, fishing, basketball games and flower gardening. She was a 1960 graduate of State High School and was the senior prom queen.
She is survived by her husband, Bennett G. Blocksom of West Terre Haute; children, Ken (Bette) Maners of Lebanon, Steve Maners and Dave Maners, both of Terre Haute and Kathy (Greg) Willis of West Terre Haute; siblings, Nancy Gossett of Terre Haute, Pam (John) Hovey and Linda Montgomery, both of Terre Haute, Mark (Kristi) Montgomery of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Phil (Terry) Montgomery of Terre Haute; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
