Amy L. Sappington, 68, of Marshall, IL passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023.

She was born Feb. 11, 1954 at Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of Gibson D. "Jack" and Margaret Schaefer Mallory.

Surviving are her children, Reggie (Kelee) Raisner of Terre Haute, IN and Kara Sappington of Marshall, IL; grandchild, Ian (Tori) Kasemeyer; great-grandchildren, Grayson Kehoe, Jozelyn Kasemeyer and Emerson Kasemeyer; special friend, Allen Hollingsworth; a brother, Jeff (Sally) Mallory of Marshall; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Amy was employed by Ford Motor Credit for several years and was employed by Union Hospital for many years.

She was a 1972 graduate of Marshall High School where she was a Marshallette and while attending ISU she was a Sparkette.

One of her greatest accomplishments was her reputation of being one of the finest organists in the Wabash Valley.

Services in honor of her life will be 7:00 PM Thursday at Pearce Funeral Home with Bob Miller as speaker. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Scholarship Fund of the Ladies Auxiliary of Marshall VFW Post #5985.
