Alice Margaret Reed
Alice Margaret Reed, 90, passed away on November 5, 2019. She was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on April 30, 1929. She was born to the union of Carrie Moothery and Augustus Holland of Terre Haute. She was the youngest of the seven children who preceded her in death: Charles, Carl, Doris, Douglas, Herman and Mary Lillian.
Margaret was predeceased by her loving husband, William A. Reed Sr., and devoted sons William A. Reed Jr. and Michael C. Reed. She leaves to cherish her memory grandsons Bryan Reed and Richard Shaffer Reed; great-granddaughter Jordynn Reed; daughter-in-law Deanna Reed; nephews Charles, Herman and Scott Moothery; niece Mary Lois Harper; and many other relatives and loyal friends.
Margaret graduated from Wiley High School. She was employed at several local organizations including the Indiana State University bookstore where she loved to interact with students. She had membership in the Order of the Eastern Star.
A consummate mother and homemaker, Margaret was a great cook and especially loved family get-togethers. Playing cards was a fun way for her to spend time with friends. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching football and rooting for her favorite baseball team, the St. Louis Cardinals. She will fondly be remembered for her dedication to family and friends, putting everyone before herself.
Services will be held at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 1400 Oak Street, Terre Haute, Indiana 47807, Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 11 a.m. A private burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery. Russell Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.

Condolences to the family. Remembering many times see Mrs. Reed at fire station #10 when mother took us kids up there many many years ago.
